baby stroller net with some weight added would work . and a baby stroller net is about $5.00.
We use ours on our hatch and the elastic holds it fine.
Any baby store should have some over near the strollers.

Question on spreaders. When you grab the shrouds and pull fore and aft should there be NO movement of the spreaders or some minor tolerable amount? Mine wiggle a little bit, but it appears to be in the joint...not the wood to the metal, but the metal to metal joint. Haven't jumped on board and wiggl...

You will never use an Alberg35 (or any CCA 35 footer) as a floating condo space wise...but it makes a great sailboat. My family (wife and three boys) all fit, but it isn't like we have separate staterooms. It is about as small as I could possibly go and get away with it and about as large as I'd wan...

What about spreading the trunk? Most EMT's (Hudson....a little help here?) would know about them. Like a pillow that is inflated. The pressurized air can lift cars off limbs or trapped people. Might give you a bit of room or break the grip of that rust. Something like this!! http://matjack.com/hipre...

Catastrophic backstay failure would worry me in these set ups. I mean a piece of wire from head to stern seems pretty fool proof. All those blocks and lines and pins and shackles. One goes and do you lose the rig?? At least with a split backstay or a hydraulic you are metal to metal all the way. A s...

anchor chain question..when to replace
Hello all. Wondering when to replace my anchor chain. I pulled out my anchor gear so I could end for end the rode and noticed I have a few links that look like the rust has gotten to them. They aren't eroded much, but for some reason those few links are affect more than the rest of the chain. IF the...

Nothing comes back to the cockpit on Andiamo. Every thing is at the front end of the boom and on the mast, except the topping lift and I need to change that. Hey guys and gals. I have a boat that needs saving. Friend of mine owns it and is done with it. I am going to this. I wanted to make sure the other Plastic Classics knew about it. If anyone else is coming we should set at time to meet and get together! These are fiberglass tubes that are about 1.5 inches in diameter that are glass to the boat and stand vertically. I wonder if they are...
