Thanks Dennis,
I've seen that at my local ACe and will report back on how well it works on my very ugly fenders. Is life too short to own some? I certainly hope not! D

Are you referring to a pumice-based type product when to say "waterless brush cleaner"- there seems to be several alternative products that use that term (and I don't want to spring for fender covers, just yet). Thanks in advance, David

The leading edge of the combing board is where I've seen them, though never on a WC boat (but when will I learn never to say never about Tritons!).
You should use those to make bronze castings. I'd buy a pair.

I purchased a sunfish on impulse and it ends up getting sailed more than any other boat. My son loves it. I have a car-top rack for it, so its easy to launch. I was a project boat, so it did interfere with getting other work done.

I'm trying to picture your bilge-pump-wash-down set-up and how many hands it requires. I bought a used Jabsco pump last year but haven't installed it. I use a bucket and brush, but always seem challenged to keep the slime from sneaking down the scuppers. I'm hoping a broad fine high-pressure spray w...

Even on my grand-dad's Dark Harbor 17, it seemed like finger-force would work for hanks to free them. Once they are moving, pull and twist repeatedly. Nobody mentioned a small brass brush, but that works well if they are initially caked with oxidate. The powder from the oxidate seems to lubricate th...

Hi Antonio, I went to the link you provided for Triton Cocomo and could not find any mention of a hull number. Perhaps they corrected the listing or, more likely, I'm just blind. In any case, hull number identification on 50-yr old boats are suspect. You might have more luck tracking down her histor...

Re: Standing rigging: Swagged vs Mechanical fittings
Practical sailor recommended swage fittings at the tops (lighter, smaller, so less windage and lower cost) combined with mechanical Sta-loks on the bottoms. I like having the mechanical fitting on the lower end because that is where I see salt spray accumulating and its the first place where rust re...

I'm planning on replacing the mast on my Triton and would appreciate input on sources of suitable alum extrusions close to Maine. I'm not interested in used spars. Welcome, avninal, It looks like a fun project.
