Rachel, It's funny you mention Scandinavia because my house was actually built by a Swedish family in 1948 and there was an old wood fired sauna on the exact spot where my shop now stands. Unfortunately, by the time I purchased the property it was too far gone to save and I had to tear it down compl...

I finally found enough time over the holiday to get the boat moved from my driveway, down a very steep hill and off of the trailer to a spot directly in front of my little workshop. The tubular steel scafolding worked quite well as a lifting frame and seemed to be much more stable than the wood fram...

The lift I used is one that I cobbled together with four boat trailer winches and some used lumber that I had lying around. It did the job but not very safely, I must say, I would not recomend such lightweight wood members for any boat as heavy as the Triton. I would also never get under any boat li...

New Owner of Triton #114

I am proud to say that I am the new owner of Triton #114. I feel very fortunate to have met Joe Henson and to have been in a posistion to take advantage of all of the hard work and time that he has put into #114. The work that Joe has completed thus far is of extremly high quality and that was the p...

I must be missing something. If the cockpit floor ends up lower than the waterline for any reason, weather it be because of an overloaded boat or a healing hull in a following sea, wouldn't water still back up thru the drians regardless of weather they exit the hull above or below the static waterli...

Glanders 23' update

I think I have found a new home for this great little boat. Here it is getting repositioned on the trailer for the trip from Annapolis to Carlisle. I will post again after the trip if all goes well. And, thank you to Tim,for the help with posting photos. I am learning. http://i398.photobucket.com/al...

Rachel,Thanks for the links I will work on getting some photos posted as soon as possible. It looks to me that the Glander Cay is probably the same hull as the boat I have but mine has a much much smaller trunk and a much larger cockpit. In fact, I would not be suprised if this boat has been modifie...

Free 23' Classic Plastic, Will Deilver

I am trying to find a home for a 1969 Glanders 23' daysailer/pocket cruiser. The boat is very similar in appearance to a Hereshoff H23 Prudence[at least on deck anyway]. The deck is wood framed and sheathed with 1/2" plywood then covered with a light glass cloth, most of the deck needs to be re...
