Re: Richmond / Central Virginia forum members
Hey Ilikerust, if you need a hand at all with that atomic 4 rebuild let me know. My other hobby is old Jeeps, which had the hurricane 4 cyl. engine in it. The f-head 4 cylinder is a very similar design to the atomic 4. I also have a few specialty tools for it that you might not be able to find at yo...

Re: Richmond / Central Virginia forum members
Hey guys I'm late to the party, but I live out in King william (east of Mechanicsville). I haven't been on the board since I sold my Bristol over a year ago. This is a great forum though so I like checking back in :)

Re: A nice little dinghy

Re: Mouse smell
You could try white vinegar. Or perhaps scrub with a baking soda solution. I'm not sure they'll work, but they are both old-time cleaning and smell reduction products, before the grocery stores became inundated with toxic chemicals.

Re: I need to lift the mast up a foot..for a few minutes
there was an article just a few months ago in good old boat about a guy who needed to replace the step in his mast, and rigged a system to shift the bottom of the mast off to the side while he completed the work. I'm at work right now so I can't scan the article for you, but I'll try to remember ton...

So if I decided to put insulation, has it been established whether I need airspace between the insulation and the ceiling? Or what about airspace between the hull and insulation? From researching it seems that there are many opinions on what is correct, but I would like some firsthand knowledge abou...

I know this is an old thread, but I am thinking of adding a wooden slat ceiling to my Bristol 27, and really like the look of Tim's cyprus slats. My question is did you insulate between the hull and the ceiling or is there just airspace there? I don't necessarily NEED insulation, but I want to avoid...
