Re: Poli Glow Experiences ??
Well, I put PoliGlow on the hull today and am pleased at the very significant aesthetic improvement. My hull is Navy Blue gelcoat and the application took it from very drab moderate chalk to an attractive gloss / shine. I have used 2-part Interlux polyurethane on another boat and I'd say my 2-pass w...

While I'm no chemist or paint expert, it does seem to me that any coating that resists the mechanical attacks you've levied thus far is well-adhered. So the operative question becomes will the PrimeKote you want to put over top of that tough stuff adhere to it? I am a big believer in primer. And if ...

Here's a photo of the previously-applied keel-hull fairing. It seems reasonably intact, but will need some additional fairing before the barrier coat. The photo is upside-down, I don't know how that happened.

I've had the hull of my 28' Hinterhoeller HR28 (external lead keel) soda blasted and I've spot-sanded where necessary, then washed thoroughly. Now some questions. 1. Just for the record, the device in question is a "reefing claw". After using roller reefing on my O'Day Daysailer for a few years, I converted to jiffy reefing and have never looked back. Two of us can set a reef in a good blow in about 20 seconds. With the Old roller reefing, it took a mi...

I recently finished totally re-wiring my Hinterhoeller HR28, a boat very similar to the Triton. The advice provided by others is fine. I'll add things to simply consider rather than hard advice. 1.
