I don't think there's a "standard" thickness. I used 3/4 ply for my seacock backing plates. Some materials (such as manufactured fiberglass panels) can be thinner than others.

Foggy Day in Casco Bay

We had a rather foggy trip back from the Basin on the New Meadows River today. Geez, we only hauled Palawan every 12 to 18 months. Tom would dive on her once or twice during that time. I'm surprised to find the fouling to be that much worse down in CT.

Yeah, it was either ground or overnight... That's OK. It's a non-issue now.
