There is no mechanized Mojito-chiller. The largest "non-starter" load is a fan but getting the engine started was a major drawdown event so the alternator spent most of it's operating time recharging the crank battery.

It is a design obsolescence feature to trap water so you can rot two sides of the cabin and the deck all at the same time. I have seen one boat where you could reach two fingers from the deck into the cabin leaving enough space to not disturb the mushrooms growing out of the front of the cabin.

For me it is not the gas it is the ignition system. The only boat that I am familiar with long term that had an A-4 did the rebuild with electronic ignition, three years later they did it again and one year later replaced it with a Beta.
