Pearson Invicta?

Post by David VanDenburgh »

I seem to remember some talk and enthusiasm a while back over a boat that looked like this one. On the chance that some of you might enjoy them, I took a couple photos as we passed this boat in Northport, MI. Does anyone know for certain what she is?

I do believe that's a Pearson Invicta Mark I, designed by Bill Tripp, Jr.

The Mercer 44 is similar, but larger.

Majorly Swoonworthy.

More info here (plus there have been threads on the forum):

Boy I sure do like Bill Tripp's "Bubble Top" boats.

I don't see any pictures attached but that must be the guy out of Sweetwater. His name is Mort, boat is Meteor, he charters 1/2 the year then goes south on her for the other half. Not a bad life, eh?

He chose to remove his mizzen which baffles me.

Oh, now I see the pictures, guess they needed time to load. That's a friend of Mort's, I forget his name, love the name of the boat. (and the song by Laura Nyro).
