Engine controls

Post by Figment »

Tim, you may remember my little rant down in "Ramblings" about how someone should develop engine controls for sailboats that use an ordinary, removable, winch handle as the control lever.

Well, lookee what I found yesterday at the Newport Boat Show:

It's by Spinlock, of all people. They have a few different versions to mate with different control setups and cable systems.

I dunno if this is a new product, but it was new to me!

Awesome! Good to know about that. I think one of those might find its way onto the Daysailor.

Not cheap, from what I can tell, but good controls never are.

Thanks, Mike!
