Did Tritons originally come with mahogany or teak for their exterior woodwork?

My coamings and handrails are teak. I read others talk about their mahogany, and I wonder if my stuff is replacement, or if (as often happens) some folks just can't tell teak from mahogany.

My originals were teak.

My handrails were mahogany. I think the coamings (assumed original)were teak. All the other woodwork on deck was mahogany.

On old #100, the coamings were mahogany and seemingly original.

It might have been a case of whatever supply they could get their hands on at the time, or perhaps a price thing that fluctuated back and forth.

There is also the common issue you noted of people just not knowing the difference, too, but it's clear that, like with all other parts of the Tritons, there were differences from boat to boat.

Teak.
