It is with great satisfaction and brimming pride that I announce that the Triton JOLLYBOAT hull number 466 was succesfully launched and towed to her mooring in the Five Mile River in Rowayton, Connecticut without incident. The last 36 hours have been spent prepairing for this 'near' historic if not hysterical event. I would like to thank all of my friends on the PCF for your insightful input and suggestions along the way. Though a path well travelled it has not been a journey without its trials, thankfully, time and patience kept the bearing true to its course. Much work still lies ahead but I feel that the rocks and shallows are behind me. Three cheers for Jollyboat - hip, hip, horay! For she's a jolly good fellow!

Sorry about the lack of pictures to accompany the announcement of the launching. I will say that even with the topsides and bottom looking very sharp the decks and interior still need much cosmetic work - pictures of cleaned seacocks would undermine the signifance of the occasion, I think - but who knows with this crowd. Also she is wildly out of trim without her engine and no gear at all. I am hoping that once I load up anchors, rhodes, batteries, sails, beer, sandwiches misc. gear and as many scantley clad woman as possible that I can get her trimmed out a bit. I will post photos - promiss - I will be in Newport this weekend so will have to wait untill next week.
Hope to be sailing soon - looking forward to sailing with my more local PCF comrads this spring (FIGMENT). I feel like a hero - dammit that's good!
