Hey all,
Once again it is winter and the boys are going south in their wide sterned monsters. This is a two leg around alone race in open 60's and 50's, Robin Knox Johnson , a man with two large salt crystals in his trousers, is racing at the age of 67.
The fleet got slamed by a big Bay of Biscay storm when starting out that divided the fleet. The leaders are about to make the turn left for austrailia via cape of good hope and the sourthern indian ocean. Check out this clip of mike golding waking up with his boat on its side.
