Update your guide books for RI.

Post by Mark.Wilme »

All cruising guides will reference the old railway swing bridge by the Rt24 Sakonnet river bridge as a somewhat scenic impedement to navigation - well not any longer, it was blown up today.

You can see the old hazard to navigation in these two photos:

as evidenced in photo 1 it is no more, it has ceased to be, It has expired and gone to meet its maker, its a stiff, bereft of life, it rests in peace, it has shuffled off 'is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the choir invisible!! this is an ex-bridge
(With apologies to Michael Palin I believe)

For some reason, the one part of that skit that ALWAYS get me is "It has ceased to be!"
(Cleese was trying to return the expired Parrot. Palin was the shopkeeper.)

A connoisseur !

Shame we couldn't have done that delivery together, so little appreciation for really good humor (humour) on this side of the pond some times.

lt's not particularly silly, is it? I mean, the right leg isn't silly at all and the left leg merely does a forward aerial half turn every alternate step.

Yes, but I think that with Government backing I could make it very silly.

Perhaps it was the Camenbert.

I know that I've come over all peckish for some cheesy comestibles.

Actually, I believe it was the salmon mousse.

Of course I as an individual qualified for the Nerdery long long ago. I was referring to Mark and I qualifying as a Comedy Duo.

I'm sure we'd do very well with the "Albatross" bit.

Flavor? It's bleedin' SEABIRD flavor, ya nit!
