mooring/anchor platform difficulty

Post by Robert The Gray »

hey tim.

I have been thinking about your anchor platform and the mooring pennants(?). Have you thought of putting one or two padeyes in a vertical line below the platform on the front edge of the stem. I know this would make your boat look like it was made to go on a trailor, but it might stop the lines from hanging up as your boat tacks around the mooring. Is it too ugly?

That's a very practical idea...but I fear it's too ugly and ultilitarian, though. It would be strong and safe for sure.

Of couse, there's nothing uglier than a boat that, having chafed through the mooring pendants, is tossed up on the rocks, either.
