Winter must be fast approaching; I've spent far too much time reading and reading posts, studying and then studying some more the photos of the boats and projects posted here! Great stuff. Hope no one minds if I add aother picture to the pile.

More Alberg 30

Nathan,

Thanks for the welcome. Yep, I have a couple pictures! At the risk of offending some viewers, I'll lead with a shot that captures the essence of a PO's "style" and work philosophy.

Truly irony in action.

When I initially saw the boat she was rough inside, but the potential is there.

Clearly, though, there is some rebuilding in order. This bulkhead will have to be replaced.

One of her selling points, among others, is the newer Westerbeke diesel with 250 hrs.
Image
In addition to the engine, the Alberg also came with some other plusses: newer main, new r/f genoa (UK), spare stove, cabin heater, autopilot, gps, and so on.

First class only, huh? I'm sure it soon will be! Great boat, David, and welcome to the forum.

Despite the irony (or maybe because of it?) I LOVE the "First Class Only" badge. I hope you'll be keeping that when she's redone.

Or you could send it to me! hehe Love it.

What can I say, it's Saturday and I'm sick. So, yes, I'm going through the archives.

You got a deal, Nathan. All I need is an address.

Sorry to hear you're sick, David.

It is nice to have the forum archives to peruse, though, isn't it. I had fun re-looking at your thread too, and checking out your boat again. Might not have done so if it hadn't popped up in "posts since last visit." :-)
