Classic Sighted on the way from MV to Woods Hole

Below is a beauty I saw from the ferry leaving Martha's Vineyard this summer:

Can anyone identify it?

Crossed courses a couple of times with one of those yesterday. The logo was more subtle.

oh, then you need to set aside a couple of hours for some websurfing. The screen before you contains a LOT of Concordia eyecandy within its warm glowing warming glow.

You might get more hits looking for a Concordia 41, but the 39s are just as nice, I think.

I'll never understand why they did knotty pine interiors below, but that doesn't take much away from the overall.

The classic Concordia yawls were offered in a 39' and 41' version. The overall look of each model is nearly identical, but the 41s are (obviously) a bit larger and have a noticeably different transom shape. Most of the yawls built were 39s (actually 39'-10").

Here's a listing of all the yawls.

Both models are generally referred to with the generic term "Concordia". It's one of those names that most people will recognize. They are beautiful boats, and most are either maintained in meticulous condition or are undergoing expensive refits. The boats were well built to begin with, which has had a lot to do with the longevity of the class.

Everyone loves a Concordia.

I will surely miss Dame if she sells to someone who takes her away. Be it doing winter spruce ups or just sailing by her in the spring and fall before/after she goes to her summer home, I never tire of seeing her varnished hull.

That list is a little inaccurate Tim, Taliesin is a 41 sloop. She was originally "Banda".

Hey, while the file name in the URL says "yawls.php," the page title and the heading text at the top of the list both say "Concordia Yawls and Sloops"

Very discerning eye!!!

Great boat. One was rigged as a sloop and used in the movie MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE

The one that is for sale on Yachtworld is DAME OF SARK which did a couple of Bermuda races; I saw her after the '04 race (yes I did the race but on a Swan)

And FIG and I frequent the WoodenBoat Forum where one of our very own is getting ready to splash HER 41' yawl! After a lengthy restoration.

All 103 built are still sailing or at least in existence! CORIOLIS burnt in a Seattle marina fire several years ago, was trucked to the Concordia comp. and rebuilt. WB did a great article on her.

Must have been cool to see!
