Some More "Self Reflection" Photos

Post by jhenson »

After what seems like an eternity, I have a boat with the topsides painted (less cove and boot stripe). Though it is far from perfect, I can live with the flaws. I had to remove the first coat due to adhesion problems, re-sand, re-prime, and re-paint, so this hasn't been my easiest project, but it is behind me.

Very striking, is that that "Aubergine (eggplant)" colour that Britton specified for his boat?

Thanks! It is Interlux Perfection Mauritius Blue (though it looks darker in the photos).

"Far from perfect"?

I would be THRILLED if my boat looked that good.

Run with it.

Looking good, Joe :) It must have been grim to realize you had to sand off work you had already done and start over, but evidently you powered through. Sweet!
