The fourth in a series of boats named after my lovely bride is a 25 foot folding trimaran. Designed by Quorning in Denmark, it was built in 1990 by PC Mould in Canada. It is light, and has a relatively huge amount of sail on it. It is capable of speeds in the high teens (knots). It needs some tlc and is going into the barn over the winter. Also, even the folded width is well over the legal limit without a wide load permit, so some modifications are in order. Here some pictures of Lady Kay on her first trip home, and a sistership:
As mentioned the trailer width is the most pressing issue:
Today I mounted the mockup ama section on the trailer..... I think this will work.......
In place ready to launch, or right after retreaval:
Pull the pins and pivot out:
Then pivot in and under:
And now for for some serious metal working.......
