What is a kee-stepped mast?

Post by heartofgold »

I was wandering aimlessly through ads and I came across a listing describing a:
...kee-stepped aluminum mast.
I may have actually been on this particular boat (or it's sister) a few years ago. It is a Durbeck D-46, a unique vessel built in Florida in the early-mid 70's.

I did some searches on "kee stepped" but came up with zip.

If you hadn't said that we would all have thought you were dryly pointing out an amusing typo :D

Funny how you can look at something and not see the obvious sometimes. I've done that too.
