Can anyone who has installed Apollo seacocks tell me what diameter machine screw they use. I cannot find this information anywhere and I wanted to order the screws at the same time I ordered the seacocks to combine shipping charges. I guess the aprox. thickness of the flange would be helpful also.
Thanks

Seacock Screw size
The board does not cut itself short!
Re: Seacock Screw size
I just installed a number of these a couple of years ago, and I'm trying to remember what size I used. For some reason 5/16" popped into my head when I read your question, but I'm not positive about that.
As for thickness, perhaps this photo will help you to gauge it. This is a 3/4" Apollo/Conbraco seacock, for perspective.

Most hardware stores have specialty bolts. I get my SS bolts there and I think they have bronze. You may also check at an auto supply house. Most of those places have a very large selection of specialty bolts.

5/16" is the bold diameter in most cases for Apollos and similar valves. Figure on 1/2" for the flange thickness when calculating your bolt length, but be sure to give yourself ample extra length so you don't come up short.
