What is this for??
I have this mounted on the back side of the hanging locker in the V-berth. It measures about 8"x20" and the center portion slides out about 12" like a slide rule. It has been suggested that it is a step to help exit through the forward hatch but it is too far aft of the hatch to be a good leverage point. Boat was built in 69 in HK. Any suggestions?

It's a storage mount for the outboard when you leave the boat and don't want it stolen, look around and you'll find a pan to catch the dripped fluids. either that or it's a WALNUT CRACKER!!!!
