Re: Around the World in a Pink Boat!
I met Tom Watson for the first time at the Plastic Classic Regatta this year. As you can see from his website he is mounting an ambitious campaign to circumnavigate the globe non-stop via the five capes. We talked for a while after the race and found out we share a lot in common. Both of our sons are named Darwin (ergo, Darwind). We both want to solo circumnavigate in a Triton and our hull numbers are sequential (mine is 106 and his 107). Tom is an thoughtful guy and I have no doubt that he will achieve his goal.
Oh, Pink is to raise breast cancer awareness. That is what he is sailing around the world for.
