Can't really see it clearly, but it looks like a built-up and flattened spot where a ttransducer (depth) once may have been mounted.....hole now plugged?....or mebbe the 'ducer is still there? ....a "potato masher" style unit passing through the hull just ahead of where the lead meets the glass??. Black Dog, Steve Jackson's boat, has a thing exactly like this...just a little further foreward. His round transducer sits on a built-out, leveled spot like that.
If that's what it is, it's gotta be just, just ahead of the joint....looks like.

Mebbe one of the extremely rare male Tritons...in rut? And you suggest Bobbitation? With a grinder? Cold, dude.....cold..
Lookin' at the shot again, and cogitatin some upon it, I see no reason why some genius couldn't have bored right through the lead...by accident, or cuz he figured, "THAT won't go nowhare!" (mebbe on wine?)
