Velcro..... cut a bunch of trim pieces with 45 corners and glue the hooks on the back, put the soft loop fabric on the bulkhead, have a different pattern every week! When you find one you like, nail them down. Or, leave as is and have entertainment for kids!

As far as pumps, I have learned to pump slow and deliberately, especially "helping" it up messes things up.

Re: Waterline.

The easy way is to make sure the boat is blocked with the waterline level..... Then you measure down from a known point somewhere to establish a starting point for the new line. Then you either use a clear hose with water (food coloring makes it easier to see) or if you want to get fancy a dot laser...

Welcome aboard. You can safely remove the bulkheads. You should even be able to gently walk on deck with them removed. Bulkheads mostly serve to maintain shape and transfer loads while sailing. (And of course to divide the living space). I'm sure a few others will agree with this. Now, if you do som...

As mentioned before, although folding, my tri is still over 10 feet wide when retracted, well over the legal limit. So, I modified the trailer setup, to where the ama's come off and store down and in. If you're interested, here is a video about the process of setting up/breaking down. It can be done...

Yes...spread out the heat dissipates....in a "blob" it heats up quickly. Whatever you're doing, spreading buys you time.

Re: Raining again or is it "still"?

My lawn has two states.....mud or rock (it's clay). Mowing when it's mud is a problem.....it makes ruts, damages the grass and the belt driven 48" mower starts slipping. With the continued rain I had no choice, as it was getting WAY too tall (as in 10" tall). So I did the swamp thing.........

Bilge pumps are a convenience under way (saves having to use a cup) and a somewhat backup device when unattended. If you spring a LEAK underway the average bilge pump setup will NOT save you unless you stop the leak FAST....unless you have one of these: http://www.bianco.com.au/custom/files/finsbury...
