The sellor set the reserve too high. $6000 should've taken that boat.

I e-mailed the seller

Post by Rachel »

I e-mailed the seller early on in the auction to request some interior photos and I also asked him if he'd be willing to give me some idea of the reserve price, since I only have so much in my boat-buying fund.

He said he'd put some interior photos up on the auction page; as to my reserve query he said something along the lines of "Well the reserve is probably lower than you think, why not just try bidding."

Vague answers like that really put me off; I would have understood if he'd just said he did not want to reveal the reserve. Anyway, I kept an eye on the auction, watching for those interior photos (didn't see any). I had a feeling the reserve was probably pretty high - wonder what it really was?

I think I would have been pretty happy with that boat! It sure did look nice.

Wonder what the seller will do with it now...
