Silicone Bronze bolts
For a seacock installation on a Pearson Triton (with the bolt going through the hull), do I need a 4" bolt? I'm using the Apollo seacocks if that matters. I found a site that is selling the 4" silicon bronze, flat head, flush mount for $3.08/each and the 3" for $2.17/each. Are these resonable prices? Thanks in advance, Stephen

Re: Silicone Bronze bolts
The length you need will depend on the thickness of your hull and whatever backing plate you have beneath the seacock flange. 4" is probably way too long: the last time I installed seacocks on a Triton I used 3" bolts, which were well over-long, as seen below. The backing plate shown here is 3/4" thick; the hull on this boat is about 1/2" thick in this area.
Bolt Depot has good prices on fasteners.
