Sabre 30 (and Jason's boat shopping thread)

Anything goes, as long as it falls under the general forum protocol and rules.

No Mark, you haven't missed anything yet.

I just closed the deal a couple of hours ago. The seller pushed it back a day.

I can't tell you how excited I am. I went through the boat briefly today, but did not take any photos. I am taking the boat to a boatyard on the Southshore tomorrow, so I'll be back out there in a couple hours, cleaning and checking the boat out to be sure she's ready for a thirty mile sail.

I'll be at the boat very early so we can get started before sun up. The weather is forecast to deteriorate tomorrow afternoon (just rain, not big breeze) so I would like to get in without getting wet if possible. The haulout is scheduled for 1:00.

I'll be taking lots of photos and I'll post them in another thread specifically about the J-30. It will probably be tomorrow before I get them up, though.

Whew. Long couple of days.

The belated photos are in this thread.

More are on my website here:

Exterior ---Interior --- Motor

Boat updates will be in other threads as I am, thankfully, no longer shopping. Thanks for everyone's help and advice both with selling the Triton and buying the J/30! I really appreciate it.
