I have a few questions at this point I am hoping the very knowledgeable folks here can answer. I need to put some more pics
1) I really want to put a forward port on the cabin, it really bugs me to sit in there an not look forward, and I am not even on the water yet! With a deck stepped mast though should I worry about losing strength here? I need to post some better pics but I will add one that shows the large white expanse of the front of the cabin.
2) If I do a port, it will be just straight plexiglass, riveted in. Should I do two smaller ones on either side or just one in the middle? Again thinking strength, not so much aesthetics (although I really do want it to look better).
3) The back transom was has a about a 1/4 inch gap I need to fill. It loks like when it was built it was some type of expoxy putty that was basically caulked in there and then sanded down. The putties I have played with have nowhere close to the strength to hold these two pieces together. What type did they originally use? Or more to the point any good recommendations to do here?
I will try to post pics when I get a chance. It's actually back in one piece now. I rejoined the deck/hull with 5200 and a aluminum rivets. I plan to paint the topside and run a trex xomposite decking material around as a rub rail. So one more question, for trex go grey (weather teak look), saddle (typical brown) or redwood (fake red looking color).
