I don't think it's a Tempest. The Tempest is 23. ft 2 in. LOA not 26ft.

A tempest has no cabin, has a trapeze and in general is an early high performance one design.

I think he means an O'Day Tempest, not the one-design class (the International Tempest).

I any event, the O'Day Tempest has a fin keel, not a cutaway full. So the boat in the Ebay ad is something other than a Tempest.

The O'Day Outlaw, is another Rhodes O'Day, is 26', and has its rudder attached to the keel:

Actually, now that I think about it, an Outlaw might be a nice boat for whomever was looking for the long-cockpit/small-cabin boat. (I forget who that was just now.)
