We have owned our beta 13.5hp diesel for several years and I have been putting off cleaning the heat exchanger. I know beta put on the removable cap on the end of the heat exchanger, but I'm wondering what do I actually clean it with? Do small wire brushes fit down the tubes? Does anybody have any special techniques that work well for their beta?
Thanks,
Dave

Remove the tube assembly
The BZ482 manual shows the tube assembly sliding out of the heat exchanger after you remove the end cap from the heat exchanger. Once in hand, maybe you could use dowels to push patches through the tubes.

Soak..
Soak it in Rydlime & use pipe cleaners. Avoid sticking anything in there that is too hard. Those copper tubes are very thin walled. Another option is to use an air compressor to blow each tube out..
