Hi , new here . We , Mark & Patti have owned "Patricia A" for about 25 yrs. We are based in the Long Beach Ca. area . The 28 is the baby Westsail . Designed by Herb David , only 78 were made starting 75' , ours was one of the last #72 laid up in 79' right about when Westsail called it a day . As you probably know Westsails could be bought as kit boats , indicated by a K or a F in the HIN . Anyhow the 28 had a evolution , the first few had a lighter ballast a smaller rudder a shorter mast and no boomkin . Welcome. I was impressed by everything I saw the first time I went aboard a W28 in Ft Lauderdale around 1983 and met the owner who had just returned from a solo trip from his home port (I think it was Chicago) to Sri Lanka and back.
